"With the generous donation of a percentage of ticket sales, Laurie Berkner and the Laurie Berkner Band helped to keep a much-needed community park and garden in South LA safe, healthy, and vibrant. Garden beds were reinforced and prepped for new gardeners, seeds and seed starters were distributed to the community, the park and garden were maintained and watered and free programming such as art workshops and nutrition courses as well as musical and cultural performances were delivered. This generous donation helps to create a safe, green community hub with access to fresh food for residents hit hard by historic disinvestment."
